The groom looks dapper in a red suit, the bride wears white and clutches a bouquet of red roses. But there’s no one to walk her down the aisle, no guests in the pews dabbing their eyes and no tender kiss as the newlyweds are pronounced husband and wife.

Instead, the loved-up pair fire up their computers, log onto Zoom and say their I dos electronically.

A virtual wedding may not sound that strange in this day and age but this one has taken things to a whole new level: not only are the newlyweds 5 750km apart, they have never met each other in real life.
