Obsessed with murder – the criminal law student who stands accused of stabbing four Idaho students while they slept

First came a loud thud, then the sound of crying. Dylan Mortensen was woken by these strange noises at four o’clock on a Sunday morning and wondered what was  going on in the house she shared with four other university students.

She opened her bedroom door to investigate and found herself face to face with a masked intruder dressed in black.

Dylan (21) froze as he held her gaze for a few moments then carried on walking, allowing her to step back into her bedroom and lock the door. Looking back, she now realises she had a very lucky escape – most of the other occupants of the house were stabbed in their beds that night.
