To all intents and purposes she was kind and caring, helping the city’s marginalised communities when they were at their most desperate and vulnerable.

They looked to Antoanette du Preez for help because she, like them, was an immigrant so they trusted her with their money and their secrets.

Little did they know she was taking advantage of them, siphoning off the money they gave her for government healthcare expenses to fund a lavish lifestyle that included foreign holidays, expensive cosmetic procedures and plenty of rich family toys.
