It’s a typical young kid’s picture and shows a stick-figure family smiling next to a swimming pool.
But there’s another element to this seemingly happy scene: a red heart that seems to be floating above the happy family to a single cloud next to a big yellow sun.
The father figure is Erik Rautenbach (35) of Riebeeckstad in the Free State, who drowned in a freak accident at the Aldam holiday resort near Ventersburg recently.
