She's unable to curl the corners of her mouth into a smile and can’t chew properly because she has no teeth in her bottom jaw. Yet 16-year-old Megan Krüger is determined to live her life to the fullest – she loves athletics and dancing, and she’s even had a small part in a film.

Megan was just a toddler when she was mauled by a tiger while she and her parents were visiting a nature reserve in the Free State. Incredibly, she survived the horrific attack, but the animal damaged most of her face and she spent months in hospital undergoing multiple reconstructive surgeries.
