Actress Hilary Duff just shared personal footage of her home birth with her fans.
"I’ve been wondering for a long time if I’d ever share this video as it’s extremely personal," Hilary captioned her post.
"It was so absolutely lovely and rewarding (and shocking) that after giving birth to my baby girl we hugged – for the first time. In my mind, I’d like to believe she was saying good job, mom."
The Cheaper by the Dozen actress went on to thank her partner Matthew Koma (31) and her seven-year-old son Luca Cruz for their support, Cosmopolitan reports.
"Matt provided such a safe calm strength, big brother (downstairs deep in Legos) and my mommy and sissy were there to cheer me on, and of course my birth angels to make sure all was well.
"I can’t believe this day was five months ago! It seems like B has been here with us all along.
"The time is already going so fast. Feeling blessed for this full hectic life and all the people in it.
"Happy five months Banks (oh and thanks for quitting colic) that was a doozy," she wrote.
"They hand her to me and I’m looking at her and she reaches up both of her arms and curls into me. She reaches up her arms right at my neck, as if to give me a hug," Hilary said.
"I couldn’t believe how strong she was but it was so clearly a hug. It made me feel like she was like, ‘Go team, go. We did it. Together!'"
