One savvy dad came up with a much more creative punishment than the old-fashioned grounding after his teen daughter broke the rules.
Madelynn Sumpter (15) from Texas in the US got into hot water recently when she and some of her friends sneaked boys in during a sleepover, Daily Mail reports.
When her parents, Tawnya Ford and Larry Sumpter, found out they decided to present her with two options.
Either she gave up her phone for a month or kept her devices but allowed her parents to have complete control of her social media accounts for two weeks, Sun UK reports.
Madelynn chose the latter and soon her 43-year-old dad was posting selfies and other embarrassing photos on her Instagram page.
But what the teen probably didn’t expect was that her dad’s hilarious selfies would get more “likes” than hers.
After taking over her account, Larry even created his own hashtags, including #parenttakeover and #makebetterchoices.
To round off his two weeks running her Instagram, Larry shared an adorable photo of his daughter when she was little with the caption, “I’m back sweeter than ever and ready to make some good choices.”
And while Madelynn was previously averaging between 270 to 350 likes per post, her dad got more than double this on each of his pictures – and even got more than a thousand for a few.
