Dislikes tea

The British tradition of having tea for practically every ailment and moment doesn't apply to the duke. He dislikes tea, preferring to drink black coffee.

Sleeps naked

A royal valet was once left red-faced after he walked in on Prince Philip waking up in his birthday suit.

According to Express UK, he doesn’t believe in wearing pyjamas to bed and sleeps naked.

However, this came as no surprise especially after actor Matt Smith, who plays Prince Philip in popular Netflix royal series The Crown, stripped before getting into bed in one of the show’s scenes.

Doesn’t have a driver’s license

At the age of 97, Prince Philip decided to “surrender his driving license” in 2019 just a couple of weeks after he was involved in an accident in which two women were injured, Channel24 reports.

The decision came after his Land Rover was overturned in the collision. Fortunately, Prince Philip escaped unhurt.

His breathalyser test also came up clean.

Likes to decide the subject of guest conversations

When it comes to having guests over, Prince Philip usually makes an odd request. He usually takes it upon himself to choose the subject of conversation.

According to Inquisitr.com, the royal expects everyone to participate in the conversation during a private dinner based on his desired topic by contacting his office beforehand to prepare themselves.
