He was pretty much public enemy No 1 after his divorce from Princess Diana, widely regarded as the cad who made her miserable while he carried on with his true love behind her back. 

But gradually the tide started to turn and in recent years Prince Charles managed to win back the favour of the subjects who once scorned and ridiculed him.  

And as the years went by he’s found peace too, living a life of genteel comfort at the picturesque Clarence House where he and his second wife, Camilla, enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and walking their dogs, Blue-bell and Beth.
