Chadwick Boseman was just 43 years old at the time of his death. A man in the prime of his life, a hero, a role model, an icon. 

Unsurprisingly fans were shocked to hear that the man who so beautifully brought the Black Panther to life had succumbed to colon cancer.

Few knew Chadwick had the disease. His family released a statement, saying he was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer in 2016 and it had progressed to Stage 4 at the time of his death.
